Young Social Innovators are everywhere.
How about you?
This is William Kamkwamba.
He lives in a rural village in Malawi.
His home had no way of getting electricity.
So he invented a way.
He built a windmill out of an old bicycle and parts from a scrapyard to power a homemade electrical system.
He built this light switch from waste and recycled materials such as PVC pipe and old rubber sandals.
You are capable, you are compassionate, you are important.
You yearn to apply what you have learned in school to create something worthwhile in the real world.
William is a young innovator inventing a better world.
Every community needs someone like William.
We are dedicated to developing young social innovators to serve their communities.
We believe inside every youth lies the potential for enormous compassion and innovation.
You can invent a better world for yourself and for others in need.
